Interactive Comfort Surfaces for Public Areas

The Coral Gel Comfort Tile is an interactive comfort tile meant for installation in public areas. The top part of the tile is a moulded relief made from polyuethane gel (Technogel°”).Technogel® is a flexible gel material that distributes weight evenly upon pressure, providing comfort to tense and sore body areas.

An infrared heat unit is hidden underground underneath the gel tile. It will activate when the user steps on the tile, providing heat relief to the user’s feet as long as he/she exerts pressure on the tile. The visual look of the tile is centered around a coral theme. Each tile features a different coral design. Stepping on a different tile design will trigger a different pulsing heat sensation.

The tile is designed to be joined in multiples to form a seamless undulating wave, not only to reflect its undersea concept, but also to provide an interesting asethetic visual and textural form for user enjoyment as well. The gel tiles are also available in a combination of different colours for personal customization to lit into the surroundings. Surface deployment of the massage tile is not just limited to the ground. Other possible surface installations can be done on walls and benches for back and shoulder relief.
